Conference activities begin at 12 pm, Thursday (January 8th) and end Saturday evening (January 10th) with a closing banquet.

DIRECTIONS/MAP

Registration will take place in the North Lobby of the Main Library. The Main Library is 2 blocks South of the Iowa House. From the Sheraton, walk North through the Pedestrian Mall to Washington St and then West about 3 blocks, crossing Clinton and Madison Streets.

TRAVEL

We recommend that you arrange travel to arrive Wednesday evening (January 7th) or Thursday morning.

The Eastern Iowa Municipal Airport is served by Allegiant Air, American Eagle, Delta/Comair, Northwest and United Airlines. The Eastern Iowa Airport is located approximately 20 miles north of Iowa City. Shuttle service from the airport is available at a cost of approximately $36 one way and $67 round-trip. The Cedar Rapids Shuttle Service counter is located directly across from the baggage claim area. Reservations are not required for this service. Taxis are also available for about the same cost.

ACCOMMODATIONS

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Iowa House, at a conference rate of $60 per night. Please call 319/335-3513 to reserve your room. High-speed internet access is available to participants on request at the time you make your room reservations.

A small block of rooms has also been reserved at the Sheraton Iowa City Hotel, at a conference rate of $89 per night. Please contact the hotel directly at (800) 848-1335 to make your reservations. (map)

When making your hotel reservations, you must indicate you are attending The College Book Art Conference to receive the conference rate. All rooms will be held in reserve until December 9, 2008. Individuals are responsible for their own reservations.
