Portfolio Reviews

Students attending the Conference may register for a portfolio review session with CBAA member faculty who have agreed to serve as evaluators. Meetings will last approximately thirty minutes and provide opportunities for discussion and assessment of student-produced work. Portfolios should be readily transportable and their contents may include completed edition books, unique books, bindings, as well as working sketchbook and mock-ups which demonstrate process. We recommend that you arrange travel to arrive Wednesday evening (January 7th) or Thursday morning.

Students may also opt for a review of digitally documented work.

Students will be notified of review time and location by email prior to the Conference.

Silent Auction and Raffle

A silent auction and raffle will be held to raise funds for CBAA student scholarship and travel awards. Art work from CBAA members and supplies from generous book and print vendors will be on offer. Items will be on display during registration and throughout the banquet. Bidding will be open throughout the conference and raffle tickets will be on sale during registration and at the start of the banquet. Winners will be announced during dessert at the banquet.

Show and Tell Room

A room will be available during the conference for participants to share and discuss their own work, look at student work, and share materials used in teaching or other settings. This will be informal; anyone interested can bring work and arrange times with other participants to use the room. The room will be monitored and open throughout the conference at various times that will be listed in the Registration Packet.

Promotional Materials, Prospectus

Tables will be set up in the break room for participants to put out any promotional literature they may have on their art work, programs or institutions.
